interested in art, Dee received her formal training at the Boston
Museum of Fine Arts School where she majored in design and oil
After raising a
family in New England, she got back into painting by taking a number
of classes and workshops. Dee also took workshops with Connecticut
artist, Charles Sovek. After moving to Wyoming in the late 80’s she
studied with Skip Whitcomb.
In the early 90’s
she decided to make painting fulltime, a career.
She travels and paints wherever she can. Always looking for
new challenges, Dee has painted in Europe,
Scotland, Norway, Alaska and the United States.
Although Dee has
painted in watercolors and pastels, she prefers working in oil,
especially when painting outdoors on location.
